What makes a great farm stay near Bangalore?

Most weekend getaways near Bangalore fall into two camps: large event properties that pack in twenty guests, or bare farmhouses with little to do. A genuinely good farm stay sits somewhere quieter — close enough for an easy drive, far enough to feel like another world, private enough that the place is actually yours, and cared-for enough that you never think about logistics. That is exactly the gap Hidden Eden was built to fill.

We are a three-cottage retreat — not a banquet lawn. Each cottage is rented whole, to one group only, so a weekend here is private by design. It is a luxury farm stay near Bangalore in the things that matter: space, silence, and being looked after.

How far is it, and how do you get here?

Hidden Eden is about 75 km from central Bengaluru — roughly two hours by road. From Electronic City or Sarjapur Road you take NH44 (the Bengaluru–Salem highway) south, cross into Tamil Nadu through Hosur, then head towards Denkanikottai and Thally. The valley begins about 12 km past Hosur, and the last stretch is a quiet farm track into Madakkal village.

It is close enough for a Friday-evening escape and far enough that the city genuinely lets go of you. Full directions and a pin are on our how-to-reach page.

Three private cottages

Each cottage is a whole-cottage stay — yours alone, set 50 to 100 feet from the next, with a king and a queen bed, a private bathroom, an outdoor bathtub, two sit-outs and a swing. Maximum four guests per cottage. Starting at ₹15,000 per night for two, all meals included.

  • Ukiyo — a cliffside cottage above a lotus pond (650 sq ft).
  • Yugen — at the edge where the farm meets the Thaggati forest (750 sq ft).
  • Kodama — the most secluded cottage, beside an old tree (750 sq ft).

Travelling as a larger group? All three together host up to twelve guests — see live dates on our availability calendar.

What is there to do — and who is it for?

There is a sunrise trek into the Thaggati forest with tea, an evening bonfire, a common swimming pool, slow farm walks among 4,500 trees we planted by hand, and meals cooked by a local farmer family. Mobile signal is limited by design — this is a digital-detox kind of place, and most guests find that is the point. More on our experiences page.

Hidden Eden is for couples and families only. It is alcohol- and smoke-free, and not set up for large parties or solo stays — which is exactly why it stays quiet. If a calm, private, couples-and-families farm stay near Bangalore is what you are after, you are in the right place.
