浮世 — the floating world
The Cottage
To live in ukiyo is to exist lightly — present, unhurried, unattached to what came before or what comes after.
This cottage sits above the mountain-fed pond on a natural outcrop of rock. From the deck, the water holds the sky. The valley opens below. A swing hangs from the old tree. A king bed faces the morning light.
Kintsugi-inspired granite tiles underfoot honor every crack. The roof curves gently, shaped by the land rather than imposed on it.
Ukiyo is for those who have been carrying something heavy. Leave it at the gate.
