What is the pricing?
₹15,000 per night for up to 2 guests. Extra adult (13+) ₹3,500 each; child 6–12 ₹2,000 each; children up to 5 free. Max 4 occupants. All meals included. No hidden charges.
Who counts as a paying guest?
Adults and children aged 6 and above are paying guests. Children aged 1–5 are free (but count towards the 4-person occupancy limit). Infants below 1 year are free and don't count towards occupancy.
What meals are included?
Lunch (arrival), evening snacks, dinner, and breakfast. Meals are simple village food prepared by a local farmer family — seasonal, fresh, and cooked the morning of.
Is non-vegetarian food available?
Non-vegetarian gravy is available for lunch and dinner on request. No non-veg barbeque. We are unable to accommodate Jain or Halal food requirements.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in: 1:00 PM. Check-out: 10:30 AM. Saturday extended stay: check-in 11:00 AM, check-out 6:00 PM Sunday — priced at 1.6× the regular one-night rate.
How many cottages do you have?
Three: Ukiyo, Yugen, and Kodama. Each is private, sleeps up to 4, and is priced the same. You can book all three for a group (max 12 people).
Do you allow pets?
No. We have 6 resident dogs who do not interact well with outside animals.
Is alcohol allowed?
No. Hidden Eden is strictly alcohol and drug-free. Guests may not bring their own alcohol. No exceptions.
Is there wifi and mobile signal?
Mobile network is very patchy here, and we don't offer guest wifi — this is deliberate. The quiet and the disconnection are the whole point. There is a staff-only wifi connection on the property. If you truly cannot go without it, we can share access, but it carries a ₹500 per cottage per day charge. We genuinely hope you won't need it. Download your podcasts, shows, and maps before you arrive.
Do you decorate cottages for birthdays or anniversaries?
No, we don't do decorations for birthdays, anniversaries, or other occasions. Balloons, banners, and single-use décor aren't in keeping with an eco retreat, and honestly the place doesn't need it — the valley, the quiet, and the stillness make for an unforgettable celebration on their own.
Can two couples share one cottage?
Two couples can stay in a cottage, but please note the two beds share the same open space — there is no privacy wall or partition between them. If privacy is important to you, we recommend booking two cottages instead.
Do you offer pick-up and drop?
No, we don't provide pick-up or drop services. Self-drive is by far the best way to reach and enjoy Hidden Eden. If you don't drive, an Uber outstation works but costs around ₹5,000 for the day.
How do I pay?
Full payment is required at booking. We accept UPI, cards, and netbanking via Razorpay. After booking you'll get a confirmation email — just reply to it with a masked Aadhaar or photo ID for each adult.
What is the cancellation policy?
50% refund if cancelled 21 or more days before check-in. No refund within 14 days of check-in.
How far is it from Bengaluru?
About 75 km from Bengaluru, near Hosur. Roughly 1.5–2 hours by road depending on traffic. We're in Madakkal village, Thaggati Valley, Tamil Nadu.
How do I find the property?
Exact directions are shared by email upon booking confirmation. The address doesn't map well on GPS — the last stretch is a farm track and needs to be navigated with our guidance.
Can I book for a large group?
Yes. All three cottages together accommodate up to 12 paying guests. For group inquiries, email us at bookings@hiddenedenfarmstays.com.
Is Hidden Eden suitable for solo travellers?
We welcome couples and families. We don't accept solo bookings, as the property is best experienced as a private retreat for two or more.
